A special meeting of the Westminster City Council has been called for Monday afternoon by Mayor Chi Charlie to respond to what he’s calling “misinformation” about the city’s mixed-use development “plans and objectives.”
At the Sept. 11 meeting, the council approved a resolution directing staff to implement “upzoning the mixed use zone for residential development, expanding the area of the mixed use district and incentivizing strategies for lot assimilation.”
It’s been reported that a flyer – resembling an “eviction notice” – had been distributed in mobile home parks, which the mayor said contains incorrect information that has upset some members of those communities.
The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. in the council chambers, 8200 Westminster Blvd.
