The construction of a 26-unit two-story townhome project in a residential area of West Garden Grove goes before the Garden Grove Planning Commission when it meets on Thursday, Feb. 20.

Brandywine Homes is requesting approval of a site plan, variance, general plan amendments and and other permissions for the proposed project at 5802 Santa Catalina Avenue between Valley View Street and St. Mark Street.

The existing 3.025-acre lot, now occupied by Grace Baptist Church, would be subdivided into two lots, one for the townhomes and the remainder for the church.

Restriping of parking lanes in the portion used by the church should meet current parking requirements.

Also on the agenda are:
• a conditional use permit for a new 18,183-square foot adult day care facility for 463 adults at 11074-11076 Magnolia Street (south of Katella Ave);
• a variance and site plan for the construction of a second single family home on a lot with an existing house at 12013 Lorna St. (at Chapman Avenue).

The commission meets at 7 p.m. in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.
