A WALK-ON COACH AT Westminster High School has been arrested on charges of sexual acts with an underage girl (Shutterstock).

A 26-year-old Anaheim man has been arrested in Westminster for allegedly committing several “lewd acts” on an underage girl.

The suspect, James Gaviola, was a walk-on athletic coach at Westminster High School. On Friday, WPD officers responded to reports of an illegal relationship between the coach and the girl.

Gaviola was contacted at the school and arrested.

He is charged with four offenses, including intercourse, and booked into Orange County Jail.

The Huntington Beach Union High School District is working with the WPD and the investigation is ongoing.

“Due to the coach’s access to children in the sports community, we are seeking information identifying any other victims,” said Deputy Chief Cameron Knauerhaze.
