The second and final reading and adoption of an ordinance for the building of a 26-unit, two-story townhouse project on spare land of the church campus in West Garden Grove goes before the Garden Grove City Council when it meets on Tuesday.

This project – to be constructed by Brandywine Homes behind the Grace Baptist Church – will be at 5802 Santa Catalina Avenue between Valley View Street and St. Mark Street on a 1.73-acre portion of the lot.

Also on the agenda for the meeting are:

• an update on the Civic Center Revitalization Project – including a new three-story police facility, attached parking structure and new park – at Acacia Parkway and Euclid Street;

• “Community Spotlights” in recognition of Dr. True McMahan for being named Cypress College 2025 Americana Awards Garden Grove Citizen of the Year, and 2024 Republic Services Sustainability Awards recipients.

The council meets in its chambers in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave. at 6:30 p.m.
