Changes in the site plan for the Harbinger Motors, Inc. operation at the northwest center of Knott Street and Acacia Avenue at 12821 Knott St. were approved on Thursday night by the Garden Grove Planning Commission.
The vote was four in favor with three absent.
Harbinger manufactures electric-powered vans such as those used for deliveries by FedEx and Amazon.
Under the proposed changes, Harbinger will be allowed the development of an approximately 10,368-square foot interior mezzanine addition in its building, as well as an increase in the floor area devoted to industrial uses.
The matter is now expected to go to the Garden Grove City Council on Aug. 26.
