Angels win, but Dodgers lose

THE DODGERS lost and the Angels won.

The Los Angeles Angels are continuing to work to keep the 2025 season from turning into a replay of the last place finish in 2024.

On Tuesday, the Halos rallied late with four runs and defeated the Kansas City Royals 5-1 in Missouri.

Trailing 1-0, Jo Adell gave the team a 2-1 lead with two-run home run in the sixth inning and the team went on to the win.
Pitcher Mitch Farris pitched five strong innings, yielding only three hits and one earned run. He struck out three Royals and walked two.

With the win, the Angels are 65-73 and remain in fourth place in the American League. They’ll play twice more in KC.

The Los Angeles Dodgers (78-60) ran into trouble in Pittsburgh, losing 9-7 to the Pirates.

A highlight of the game was a solo home home run by Shohei Ohtani, his 100th Dodger career round-tripper and his 46th of the season.

The teams will meet again on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Blue Crew remains in first place in the National League West, ahead of the second place San Diego Padres by two and one-half games.
