A chase of a reported stolen vehicle that began in Garden Grove on Monday concluded in Long Beach after 10 minutes with a three-car collision.

According to police, the chase commenced at around 12:45 p.m. when GGPD officers spotted a Kia reported stolen on Harbor Boulevard near the Garden Grove (22) Freeway.

When a traffic stop was unsuccessful, a chase ensued the vehicle raced on the westbound “22” at speeds that reached 90 miles an hour.

After nearly 10 minutes on Studebaker Road where the Garden Grove Freeway turns into 7th Street the Kia driver lost control and crashed into two other motor vehicles.

He was taken to a hospital for evaluation after complaining of pain. No other injuries were reported.
