Fighting crime isn’t just for police officers.

According to the Garden Grove Police Department, three adult suspects were arrested Monday for allegedly stealing a computer from the Costco store at Main Street and Garden Grove Boulevard, using fake/homemade receipts.

Costco employees recognized the fraud, say police, and quickly contacted the GGPD with the description and license plate number of the suspect vehicle.

Officers spotted the vehicle, made a traffic stop and effected the arrest of the three men.
Further investigation of the incident, according to police, indicates the same group may have used similar tactics at other Costco’s and other retail stores in the area based on evidence found during the arrest.
