GIRLS’ SOCCER playoffs starting this week.

The Huntington Beach Oilers will be competing for the CIF-SS Open Division girls’ championship in the tournament starting on Thursday.

The orange-and-black (13-1-5) will begin Round 1 play against Mater Dei. HBHS will take on the Monarchs again on Saturday, Feb. 14 in Round 2.

Winners of those rounds will advance to the quarterfinals on Wednesday, Feb. 18.

First round games set to start on Feb. 12

Division 1: Mission Viejo at Edison, Pacifica at Torrance.
Division 6: Desert Hot Springs at Westminster, Barstow at Ocean View.
Division 7: La Quinta at Savanna, Saddleback at Santiago, Western at Marshall.
Division 8: Bolsa Grande at Shalhevet.
