The Huntington Beach Fire Department was dealing with a hazardous materials incident on Sunday afternoon at the Central Library (Talbert Avenue and Goldenwest Street) in Huntington Beach.

Two patients were evaluated by paramedics: one was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation and a second was evaluated and released at the scene.

Firefighters and hazardous materials personnel worked to identify the substance involved and assess any potential hazards .
