A pre-dawn blaze on Wednesday morning struck a home in Huntington Beach.

According to the HBFD, the blaze was reported at around 5 a.m. in the backyard of a house in the 20000 block of Minerva Lane, south of Indianapolis Avenue and Magnolia Street.

Arriving firefighters saw heavy fire and flames showing from multiple doors and windows. An aggressive attack on the blaze was launched by the crews while a search of the home was conducted to make sure no one remained inside.

The fire was brought under control and kept from damaging neighboring homes.

One occupant was evaluated at the scene by paramedics for a minor injury and not hospitalized. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Assisting in the incident were the Fountain Valley Fire Department and the Costa Mesa Fire and Rescue.
