La Quinta High School’s football team dropped from the unbeaten ranks on Thursday with a 35-7 loss to Loara.
The Aztecs are now 3-1 overall and in third place in the TangoLeague at 2-1.
Next up for the blue-and-gold is a game next week hosting district rival Rancho Alamitos (3-0) on Sept. 25.
Los Amigos improved to 3-1 with a 14-13 non-league win over Whittier, a third win in a row.
The Lobos have another “pre-league” game on Sept. 25 against Eisenhower High of Rialto (1-3) before beginning Omicron League play on Oct. 2 against district rival Garden Grove.
