The Silverados country band will perform Thursday in the sunken gardens of the Westminster Civic Center as part of the city’s summer concert series. The show will be from 6-7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Concertgoers may bring a picnic dinner or enjoy food items such as Islands Hot Dogs and Mustache Mike’s Italian Ices. The event will also include children’s activities and games.

HARBOR OFFRAMP OF 22 TO BE CLOSED
The eastbound off-ramp of the Garden Grove (22) Freeway at Harbor Boulevard in Garden Grove will be closed Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for guard-rail repair, according to the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans).
BUSINESS COUNCIL BACKS SANCHEZ
The Orange County Business Council on Monday endorsed Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Garden Grove) for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by the retiring Barbara Boxer. The OCBC singled out Sanchez for her work in helping to secure and improve California’s water supply.
Sanchez is competing against California Attorney General Kamala Harris in the Nov. 8 general election. Both are Democrats.
