UPDATE: The vehicle driven by Willie Jim Norman, 81, missing from Huntington Beach since Aug. 9, was found abandoned Sunday in Lyle Creek in San Bernardino County. That’s inside San Bernardino National Forest.
Police in Huntington Beach are asking the public’s help to locating an elderly woman reported missing since Tuesday. According to the HBPD, the missing woman is Willie Jim Norman, 81. She’s described as an African American, 5-feet tall, 145 lbs. She drives a 2002 blue Jeep Grand Cherokee sport utility vehicle with the license plate 4VMR811.
Police say she was last heard from at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. She did not show up for her usual Tuesday workout at the 24 Hour Fitness. She lives alone and her vehicle is not at her home. According to the HBPD, she has been suffering from dementia but there’s been no noticeable decline in her condition since taking medication for the condition.
Her pills for dementia and high blood pressure were left at her home. She is believed to frequent the areas of Goldenwest Street and Warner Avenue, Edinger Avenue and Gothard Street and Beach Boulevard into Westminster.
