FILING PERIODS have been extended to Wednesday for five local school districts because an incumbent’s not running.
Filing periods for five local public school districts will be extended until next Wednesday because one or more incumbents in each district has not taken or returned nomination papers by the Friday deadline.
According to the Orange County Registrar of Voters, the extension to Aug. 17 at 5 p.m. applies to the Huntington Beach City School District, Ocean View School District and Westminster School District.
Here’s the list of people who have started the nomination process. It doesn’t necessarily mean they will be on the ballot; their paperwork must be checked for accuracy, completeness and the validity of the signatures required on their nomination petition.
