The extended deadline for filing for elected city offices in Huntington Beach brought out more candidates in time for the Wednesday 5 p.m. deadline. Because Mayor Jim Katapodis and Mayor Pro Tem Dave Sullivan decided not to run for another term on the council, the filing period was given another five days.
There are now 10 candidates for three spots on the council. According to the City Clerk’s office, the election day lineup looks like this:
CITY COUNCIL (three seats)
- Amory Hanson
- Karen Leighton
- Lyn Semeta
- Patrick Brenden
- Joe Carchio
- Jill Hardy (incumbent)
- Ron Sterud
- Mark Rolfes
- Mariann Ettorre
- Edward Pinchiff
CITY TREASURER
- Alisa Cutchen (incumbent)
CITY CLERK
- Robin Estanislau (appointed incumbent)
- Kevin Donovan.
The municipal election is combined with the presidential and other elections scheduled for Nov. 8.
