They were arrested Thursday at 9 p.m. in the 13300 block of Stephens Avenue in Garden Grove, near Fairview Street and Trask Avenue at the eastern edge of the city, police say.

A third suspect is being sought in the incident that took the life of Kellie Louise Nichol, 31, of Garden Grove at the climax of what police describe as a “physical altercation” in the 13500 block of Purdy St. near Trask and Newland Street on Thursday at around 11:17 p.m.

Police believe the third suspect, described only as a male Hispanic, 19, was the shooter in the incident. The handgun that took the life of Nichol has not yet been recovered.

After the shooting, arriving officers and paramedics from the Orange County Fire Authority performed life-saving efforts on the victim, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
