Edison High’s football team improved its record to 2-0 in the young 2016 season with a 31-14 win over Tesoro Saturday at Huntington Beach High.
Griffin O’Connor passed for two touchdowns – both to Shaun Colamonico – and ran for a third in the win. He totaled 188 yards through the air.
Also scoring for the Chargers were Jack Morrell with a 36-yard field goal and Jack Carmichael on a five-yard run. He ended up with 67 yards rushing.
Edison built a 10-0 lead early, but the Titans answered with two touchdowns to go ahead 14-10. But after that it was all Edison, scoring the next 21 points.
The Chargers are next in action on Sept. 9 when then travel to Fred Kelly Stadium in Orange to take on Canyon High.
