
A MAN died early Saturday morning in Huntington Beach when he was struck by two autos while trying to cross Beach Boulevard.
UPDATE: The Orange County Coroner’s office has identified the decedent as Gene Oquin, 59.
A man was killed when walking across a street in Huntington Beach early Saturday morning. According to the HBPD, the pedestrian was struck by two vehicles while crossing Beach Boulevard near Terry Drive.
The man, who has not been identified, sought to cross the street from the west, walking east at about 2:30 a.m. and not in a crosswalk. He was in the northbound lanes when he was hit by a red Nissan truck, and then by a white Toyota Prius.
Police say that impairment of the drivers – such as alcohol – doesn’t appear to be a factor. No citations were issued or arrests made.
