Panthers, Seahawks post triumphs

Orange High’s football team sent another message that the Panthers are for real, and Ocean View posted its first win of 2016 with a tense win over Rancho Alamitos Thursday night. Here are the details:

ORANGE 49, SANTIAGO 13

Improving their record to 3-0, OHS raced past the Cavaliers at Garden Grove Stadium. Miguel Orendain threw for three touchdowns and Nathan Howard ran for two more in the win. Santiago fell to 1-2 with the loss. Next up for the Cavs is Ocean View (1-2), while Orange will face Laguna Beach (2-0) in a battle of unbeatens.

OCEAN VIEW 15, RANCHO ALAMITOS 10

The Seahawks did a good job of containing Vaquero quarterback Blake Culbert in their win at Westminster High. The star RAHS QB was held to 73 yards passing and one TD. Ocean View (1-2) got scores from Xavier Delgado and Noah Deloera. Rancho (1-1) will next face Anaheim (0-2).
