ORANGE, Garden Grove, Rancho Alamitos and Fountain Valley all won football games Friday night.

Local high school football teams posted four wins Friday night. Orange, Rancho Alamitos and Garden Grove and Fountain Valley each concluded their pre-league schedule with victories. Play in the Golden West, Garden Grove, Empire and Sunset leagues starts next week.

Friday night high school football results

• Orange 3, Godinez 0

A fourth quarter field goal allowed the Panthers (5-0) to beat the Grizzlies (1-4) and improve to 5-0.

• Rancho Alamitos 33, Loara 19

The Vaqueros (3-2) scored in every quarter to outpace the Saxons (1-4) at Bolsa Grande Stadium

• Savanna 14, Santiago 10

Dylan Ourng’s 102 yards rushing wasn’t enough as the Cavaliers (1-4) lost to the Rebels (3-2) at Garden Grove Stadium.

• Garden Grove 20, Laguna Hills 13

The Argonauts rallied from a 13-7 deficit with two fourth quarter scores to defeat the Hawks (3-1) . Ruben Mendoza ran for two scores and threw for another as the Argonauts (3-2) snapped a two-game losing streak.

• Fountain Valley 42, Mira Mesa 41

The trip to San Diego ended happily for the Barons (1-4) as they edged the Marauders (1-4). FVHS jumped out to a 28-7 lead but survived Mira Mesa’s rally when a two-point conversion in the closing minute failed.
