A 30-year-old woman has been hospitalized with “life-threatening” injuries after she was hit while walking across a street in Garden Grove Monday evening.
According to the GGPD, the incident occurred just before 7 p.m. on Magnolia Avenue, just north of Roxanna Avenue. The woman apparently was on foot crossing westbound across Magnolia outside a crosswalk. She was struck by a red 2000 Toyota MRZ Spider coupe driving by a 31-year-old man.
The woman was treated by Garden Grove firefighter-paramedics and taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and cooperated with police. It doesn’t appear that alcohol or drugs were involved with the driver, and an investigation is continuing. Witnesses are asked to call the GGPD’s Traffic Accident Investigation Unit at (714) 741-5704.
