A fire at a Buddhist temple in Garden Grove Tuesday night did an estimated $225,000 in damage, according to Capt. Thanh Nguyen of the Garden Grove Fire Department.
The blaze, in the 12400 block of Euclid Street, was reported at 9:57 p.m. It took firefighters about 10 minutes to knock down the fire. Six people – all adults – living at the facility were able to escape without injury. The Red Cross responded to the scene to provide shelter.
Damage to the structure is estimated at $200,000, with another $25,000 to contents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
