HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you and yours this holiday from the Orange County Tribune.

The staff of the Orange County Tribune wishes you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving holiday. It’s a great time to gather with loved ones and enjoy the bounty of the celebration, which usually includes a lot of turkey and waves and waves of football on TV.

We’ll be doing a lot of the same, so the OC Trib will be on partial hiatus Wednesday through Friday to take part in the annual day honoring the early pioneers and their efforts to create a new life in the New World.

While we will be keeping an eye on – and reporting on – breaking news such as developments in police and fire activity – we’ll otherwise be taking some leave for a couple of days. That means we may be skipping some regular features such as TGIF and Jim Tortolano’s Retorts column

We hope you will also enjoy your Thanksgiving extravaganza and remember not to eat too much … what you put on in November you get to work off or live with in the New Year.
