GGPD officers attempted to stop a blue 1998 Cadillac DeVille in the area of Stanford Avenue and Dale Street for traffic violations. The officers turned on their emergency lights, but the car sped away at “a high rate of speed.” The driver, later identified as Blake Napier, drove through the city at speeds in excess of 80 mph.

The fleeing suspect’s car stopped in the roadway in front of 11250 Dale St. and the driver sought to flee on foot, according to Lt. DaRe. The officers ran after Napier and caught him a short distance away. He was taken to the Garden Grove Police Jail and charged with felony evading a police officer.
