ANAHEIM DUCKS defeated the San Jose Sharks 3-2 Friday to climb into a first place tie for first in the NHL Pacific Division.
After getting and losing an early two-goal lead, the Anaheim Ducks defeated the San Jose Sharks 3-2 Friday night at Honda Center on a third period goal by Hampus Lindholm. The goal – his first of the season – put the team’s record at 14-9-5, garnering 33 points and a tie with the Edmonton Oilers for first in the NHL Pacific Division.
The Ducks went ahead in the first period on goals by Rickard Rakell and Antoine Vermette, but the Sharks replied with tallies in the first and third to knot it up. Lindholm settled the matter at the 14: 22 mark of the third. Jonathan Bernier made 22 saves in goal for Anaheim.
