The Anaheim Ducks clung to second place in the NHL Pacific Division despite a 6-2 loss to the Dallas Stars on the road Tuesday night. Ryan Getlzaf and Corey Perry scored for the Ducks, whose record is 15-10-5, good for 35 points. That’s tied with the Edmonton Oilers for the runner-up slot.

It was Getzlaf’s third goal of the season and Perry’s seventh.

Anaheim actually led 2-1 going into the third period until the Stars scored five unanswered goals to win going away. Next up for the Ducks is a game in Boston on Thursday against the Bruins (16-12-2).

Three players from Huntington Beach High were named All-CIF-SS this week for boys water polo in Division 1. They are Ethan Wojciechowski, Patrick Saunders and Quinten Obsborne, all seniors.

In Division 6, Jackson Loeuk of Los Amigos and Ethan Knox of Ocean View, also both seniors, were honored as all-CIF-SS.
