The Anaheim Ducks finished a long and tiring road trip Thursday night with a 2-1 overtime loss to the Senators in Ottawa. The journey saw them win twice and lose four times. They are now 17-12-6 and in third place in the NHL Pacific Division.
After a scoreless first period, the Ducks and Senators each scored once, with Jakob Silfverberg getting the Anaheim goal at 1:02 of the second period, his ninth goal of the season.
But that was it for the Ducks as, after a scoreless third, Mike Hoffman scored the game-winner in overtime at 4:03. The next game for Anaheim will be Tuesday as the Ducks host the San Jose Sharks at Honda Center.
