A car that crashed into a power pole in Westminster Sunday night knocked out electrical power to as many as 10,000 customers in the area of Bolsa Avenue and Chestnut Street.
According to the Westminster Police Department, the incident occurred around 11 p.m. Witnesses told officers they saw two people running from the vehicle after the crash. Two “possible suspects” of the hit-and-run were located nearby by police.
Southern California Edison responded to restore power. Traffic on Bolsa Avenue was closed down from Goldenwest Street to Hoover Street. Officers from the Huntington Beach Police Department and the California Highway Patrol assisted with managing the road closures.
