Another Pacific title as Kings fall in OT

ANAHEIM DUCKS won their fifth consecutive Pacific Division title Sunday as they defeated the Kings 4-3 in overtime.

It’s the kind of routine most teams would love to get used to. The Anaheim Ducks have won their fifth straight NHL Pacific Division crown, and will advance to the Stanley Cup playoffs against the Calgary Flames.

On Sunday, the Ducks defeated the Los Angeles Kings 4-3 in overtime to lock up the crown. Shea Theodore’s goal 53 seconds into extra time gave the win to the home team at Honda Center. The Ducks record concluded at 46-23-13, worth 105 points. They won the title in a rush, posting an 11-0-3 record over their last 14 games.

Other scores by Anaheim were by Patrick Eaves, Andrew Cogliano and Ryan Getzlaf.

More information on the playoff schedule will be announced Sunday night.
