TWO PEOPLE died after traffic accidents Sunday in Garden Grove and Westminster.

Sunday was a deadly day for local motorists as two men lost their lives in traffic accidents in the Garden Grove-Westminster area. According to the Orange County Coroner’s office, the dead are:

• Xavier Obregon, 26, of Garden Grove. Authorities say he was killed in a car vs. car crash on a freeway overpass of the Garden Grove (22) Freeway at Springdale Street in Westminster Sunday night. He died at the scene at 8:43 p.m.
• Jorge Gonzales, 39, of Costa Mesa. He was involved in the collision of a sports utility vehicle with a car at the intersection of Dale Street and Twana Drive in Garden Grove. Gonzales was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was declared dead at 3:21 p.m.
