Silver medals for eight area schools

THE LA QUINTA High band has reason to toot their horns for the school; it’s top-ranked in this area by U.S. News and World Report (OC Tribune photo).

Eight comprehensive high schools serving the Garden Grove-Huntington Beach-Westminster area were honored as “silver medal” winners by U.S. News and World Report’s annual ranking of American public schools announced on Tuesday.
