Two suspects are being sought in the fatal shooting of a man Sunday night in Garden Grove. According to Sgt. Ray Bex, of the GGPD’s Crimes Against Persons Unit, the incident occurred around 10:11 p.m. in the 13900 block of Brookhurst Street, north of Westminster Avenue.
Responding to a call of shots fired, officers found a man lying – fatally wounded – on the ground near the automatic teller machine of the Bank of America branch. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing two men leaving the area in a silver or grey sports utility vehicle. Police add that information about the identity of the victim, descriptions of the suspect and circumstances of the incident are “limited” as detectives work the case.
The shooting took place about two hours after an incident near the same location where a woman was assaulted and robbed. A suspect was arrested in that incident.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the GGPD at (714) 741-5704.
