Hotel-apartment complex for Little Saigon

A HOTEL, retail and apartment complex with two five-story buildings has been proposed for the Little Saigon area of Westminster.

The Little Saigon area of Westminster may soon be growing up … literally.

A plan to build an expansive new project on a six-acre site at Brookurst Street and Bolsa Avenue would include two five-story buildings.

The project, announced on Tuesday, would shape up like this:

  • a five-story, 150-room hotel
  • a five-story, 201-unit apartment complex with a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartment units
  • 60,000-square feet of ground floor “experiential and lifestyle” retail and restaurant space and an event facility.

It would be connected to a “Festival Street” a walkable retail promenade for summer market nights and other events.

KTGY Architecture and Planning of Irvine is the designer and LP Westminster, LLC, led by Joann and Bac Pham, the developer. They have submitted the plans to the city for review. The mixed-use format of the project fits with the city’s revised general plan which calls for a mingling of residential and commercial uses throughout the city.
