The Dia de La Familia event held Sunday in Sigler Park in Westminster was a festival of music, history, service and more.

Sponsored by the City of Westminster, the event included traditional Mexican music and dance, displays of information about Hispanic heritage, several food booths, and a classic Chevrolet car show.

There was a bounce house for kids, and material about the historic Mendez v. Westminster court case, which ended racial segregation in California schools. There was also a computer set up to help trace family genealogy, pamphlets about the history of Westminster and information about city services.
