HEAD COACH Eduardo Osorio and Assistant Coach Andrew Mutafyan with their first place Pacifica Mariners varsity boys water polo team. The M’s went 5-0 on Saturday and Sunday at the third Annual Bull Run Varsity Tournament in Diamond Bar to take home first place in the Silver Division. Pacifica, a CIF-SS Division 6 team, had to beat five CIF-SS Division 5 teams to take the championship. Two of those teams were ranked in the top ten in the recent CIF poll. The tournament was played in the Diamond Bar area and Pacifica played all its games at Rowland High School. The Mariners are now 12-4 on the season and start league play on Thursday against Cypress High School (Randy Toma photo).
