A TRUCK CRASHED into a tree at Valley View and Lampson in West Garden Grove early Saturday morning.

A man was hospitalized after an early morning traffic accident in Garden Grove Saturday in which a truck crashed into a tree.

According to Sgt. Michael Viscomi of the GGPD, the incident was reported at 3:04 a.m. at Valley View Street and Lampson Avenue. Police and firefighters arriving at the scene found that the driver of a white truck was trapped inside his vehicle.

He had sustained facial injuries, was unresponsive but breathing. He was extracted from the vehicle and taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange.

Police were unable to question the driver as to the cause of the accident because of the extent of his injuries, and the crash is under investigation. Witnesses are asked to call GGPD Traffic Investigator at (714) 741-5823.
