A tug-of-war over a requested variance comes back to the Huntington Beach City Council when it meets on Monday night. The applicant, Joseph D. Santiago, is requesting a second continuance of consideration of appeal of the planning commission’s denial of his request for a variance to allow relocation of the historic Hearn House at 506 7th St.
He is requesting the council to take the matter up its Nov. 6 meeting. It had previously been continued from Oct. 2 to Oct. 16 at Santiago’s request.
The council meets in its chambers in the Civic Center at 2000 Main St. (at Yorktown Avenue). A closed session is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. with the regular business meeting starting at 6 p.m.
