The Pacifica High School boys’ water polo team is now just one win away from a CIF-SS Division 6 championship.
The Mariners (24-4) will face Buena Park (19-10) in the finals on Saturday at the Woolett Pool in Irvine.
Pacifica advanced to the title game by defeating Temecula Valley 10-6 on Wednesday at Ocean View High School. Buena Park won its semifinal game 15-13 over Beaumont.
The Mariners, champions of the Empire League, defeated La Sierra, California and now Temecula Valley in the Division 6 playoffs to reach the finals. The Coyotes won over Elsinore, Foothill Technology and Beaumont on their path to Irvine.
