Armed robber hits a liquor store

A LIQUOR store was held up by an armed robber on the Anaheim-Garden Grove border early Wednesday morning.

A liquor store in northern Garden Grove was held up at gunpoint early Wednesday morning. According to Sgt. Vince Valicaro of the GGPD, the incident took place around 1:10 a.m. at 9541 Katella Ave., east of Gilbert Street.

Police say that the suspect entered the K&M Liquor store, and brandished a firearm. The man – described as a male black in his mid-20s, armed with a black semi-automatic handgun and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and brown pants – demanded money.

The clerk complied and fled with an unknown amount of cash.
