Ducks edge the Blues 3-2 in St. Louis

THE ANAHEIM DUCKS beat the St. Louis Blues 3-2 on Wednesday.

The Anaheim Ducks got two goals from Antoine Vermette en route to a 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night in Missouri.

John Gibson had 37 saves for the Ducks, who saw their record improve to 11-10-4, good for 26 points. The team is now tied for fifth place in the NHL Pacific with the Vancouver Canucks.

Panthers get to play final at home

The Orange High School football team gets to play its CIF-SS Division 13 title game on Saturday on familiar turf.

The Panthers (11-2) will meet Silver Valley (9-3) for the crown at Fred Kelly Stadium on the campus of El Modena High School. Although the stadium is not located at OHS, it’s the home field for all the high schools in the Orange Unified School District, including Orange.
