SEVEN LOCAL basketball teams are ranked by the CIF-SS this week.

Eleven local teams from the Garden Grove-Huntington Beach-Westminster area are ranked in this week’s CIF-SS polls for winter sports.

In boy’s basketball for Division 3AA, Ocean View is rated fourth, while Marina is 12th in 3A. Pacifica is seventh and Santiago ninth in 4AA. Garden Grove is first in 5AAA, followed by La Quinta in eighth. In the top local game of the week, Cypress (16-4) will host Pacifica (14-6) in a showdown for the Empire League lead. Both are 4-0 in league play.

In girls’ basketball, the sole local team is Orangewood Academy, rated 16th in Division 1.

In girls’ water polo, Huntington Beach is 13th in Division 1 and 2, while Los Amigos is second in D-2.

In boys’ soccer, Edison is ninth in Division 1 and Garden Grove third in D-4.
