A bank inside a busy supermarket was held up Monday morning in West Garden Grove. According to Lt. Carl Whitney of the Garden Grove Police Department, the robbery took place around 10:45 a.m. at the US Bank inside the Vons store at 11861 Valley View St.
The suspect is described as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, 6-foot-one inches tall, 170 lbs., with brown hair and a small goatee. He entered the store, picked a shopping cart and walked to a teller window at the bank and presented a note demanding money.
The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. Then, the suspect left on foot through the west doors of the market and walked towards Valley View Street. No vehicle was seen.
