The Anaheim Ducks are one of the hottest teams in the National Hockey League, but they got burned down Thursday night 4-2 by the streaking Nashville Predators.
Despite two goals from Rickard Rakell in the third period, the Ducks fell at Bridgestone Arena. Ryan Getzlaf assisted on both goals.
It was the 10th win in a row for the home team, putting the Preds record at 44-14-9, third-best in the league. The loss put the Ducks at 34-22-12, worth 80 points. That drops the Orange County team to third place in the NHL Pacific Division.
John Gibson had 24 saves in goal for Anaheim.
The Ducks will continue their road trip on Monday when they visit St. Louis to take on the Blues (35-24-6).
