Ducks hotter than Flames in 4-0 win

ANAHEIM DUCKS defeated Calgary 4-0 on Wednesday.

The Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings continue to play a not-very-friendly game of leapfrog in the battle for a Stanley Cup playoff spot. The Ducks jumped over the Kings Wednesday thanks to a 4-0 victory over the Calgary Flames on the road.

That win allowed the Orange County team to move into third place in the NHL Pacific Division. The top three teams in each division make the post-season.

Anaheim is 38-24-12, worth 88 points, compared to L.A. with 40-27-7, worth 87.

Anaheim got scores from Andrew Cogliano, Ordrej Kase, Hampus Lindhold and Francois Beauchemin. In goal, John Gibson had 29 saves.

Next on the schedule for the Ducks is a game on Friday visiting the Winnipeg Jets.
