Pay better attention driving on Friday

PUTTING on makeup while driving: unsafe and could get you a traffic ticket.

It was a statewide enforcement day aimed at drivers who talk on their hand-held cell phones, text, apply their makeup or otherwise aren’t focused completely on operating their motor vehicle.

The next designated enforcement day is this coming Friday, April 13. For more information, visit

At the last meeting of the Garden Grove Planning Commission, the panel on a 7-0 vote approved requests for a site plan and conditional use permit to build the facility at 13731 Harbor Blvd, at the southwest corner of the intersection with Woodbury Road.

The site plan calls for demolishing an existing 2,747 square foot building, retaining an existing main building of 21,708 square feet and adding a new 5,845-square foot addition.

Currently located at 10081 Garden Grove Blvd., the Garden Grove Kia dealership is being displaced by construction of Brookhurst Place, a large development in the Brookhurst Triangle area.
