A MAN convicted of 12 acts of forcible rape, many of them in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley, has been denied parole.

Parole has been denied to a man who has been convicted of numerous sexual offenses, including 12 counts of forcible rape, many in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley.

According to the Orange County District Attorney’s office, Robin Dasenbrock, 53, now held at Mule Creek State Prison in Ione, was denied parole for a period of seven years by the Board of Parole Hearings of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Dasenbrock assaulted at knifepoint at least a dozen women between November 1985 and April 1987, in addition to committing several burglaries in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley. In some instances, he returned days later to rape his victims a second time. He was arrested by Fountain Valley police on April 29, 1987.

In addition to his criminal record, Dasenbrock accumulated many disciplinary violations in prison including two instances of battery on another inmate.

The clinical psychologist in the hearing told the board that Dasenbrock cannot “fully accept the severity of his behavior” and has “demonstrated little in the way of empathy” for his victims.
