More than five dozen firefighters from five different services joined to battle a fire in an industrial area in Huntington Beach on Wednesday morning.
According to Keita Sato, public information officer for the Huntington Beach Fire Department, the blaze was reported at 10:16 a.m. at 15675 Chemical Lane.
Arriving HBFD units found heavy smoke visible and fire which had ripped through the roof. In addition to Huntington Beach firefighters, help came from the Orange County Fire Authority and Fountain Valley, Garden Grove and Newport Beach fire departments.
The blaze was considered fully contained at 11:53 a.m. and was limited to two units in an industrial building. A total of 19 companies and 64 firefighters were on the scene. One civilian suffered minor injuries and was evaluated and released by paramedics.
There were no injuries to firefighters and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
