Police in Garden Grove are seeking a suspect in the shooting of a man in an incident Monday morning in the northern part of the city.
According to police, officers were alerted to a shooting that had just taken place shortly after 11 a.m. in the 9500 block of Katella Avenue, near Gilbert Street.
They found a man who had suffered from a single gunshot wound to the right arm. Police believe that the victim was standing in front of the location from which several shots were fired by an unknown suspect, described so far only as a male.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered “life-threatening.” An investigation is underway and anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information about it is asked to contact the GGPD at (714) 741-5274.
