A proposal to construct a new commercial building with a drive-thru will go before the Westminster Planning Commission when it meets on Wednesday, July 18.
The project would call for a general plan change for a parcel at Goldenwest Street and Sowell Avenue from single-family residential to general business.
A 4,300-square foot building with a lane for cars to order and purchase food would be the new land use. The staff report did not indicate the name of the proposed eatery operator.
Also on the agenda is a request for a conditional use permit and variance for the operation of a 5,565 square-foot banquet facility in conjunction with an existing 9,765 square-foot dance studio.
The applicant is also requesting a variance from the minimum number of parking spaces. The location is 7222-7732 Garden Grove Blvd.
Planners will meet in the city council chambers at 8200 Westminster Blvd. at 6:30 p.m.
